Air India and Saudia Expand Strategic Partnership

Air India and Saudia have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their strategic partnership, strengthening air connectivity between India and Saudi Arabia while creating new opportunities for commercial and operational cooperation.

Building on their existing codeshare agreement, the airlines will explore expanding codeshare services, improving network connectivity, co-locating airport terminals where feasible and enhancing collaboration across sales, operations and loyalty programs. The agreement also includes plans to evaluate future cooperation involving flyadeal and Air India Express.

The partnership is designed to offer passengers greater travel flexibility and more seamless connections across the carriers’ international networks as demand between India and Saudi Arabia continues to grow.

The MoU marks another step in Air India’s ongoing expansion of its global partnerships following its privatization, while supporting Saudia’s strategy of strengthening international connectivity through strategic airline alliances.
