Air Malta Scores Excellent Punctuality Figures This Summer

20 October 2011 Air Malta has scored excellent on-time performance figures for the months of August and September, with an overall arrival punctuality of 84%, to achieve first place on the Flight Stats Performance Rating.

UK departures scored highly with Air Malta achieving a 92% on-time performance rating for departures from London Gatwick. Departures from London Heathrow and Manchester airport scored 83% and 81% respectively. Air Malta’s overall punctuality rating of 84% compared favourably to Lufthansa, Vueling and Emirates who scored 74%, 73% and 72% respectively.

Air Malta Chief Executive Peter Davies said, “We are gaining ground on a number of fronts. We are obviously very pleased with our placing during the peak summer months. Our focus is to work harder to improve the overall quality of service and deliver products that our customers really want. On-time punctuality figures are one of the key performance indicators and we hope to continue improving on the results achieved so far.”
