Air Serbia Adds Airbus A320 to Growing Fleet

Air Serbia has taken delivery of another Airbus A320, continuing its fleet modernization program as the airline increases capacity across its short- and medium-haul network.

The aircraft, registered YU-APU, arrived in Belgrade on July 14 and will soon enter commercial service. Configured with 180 seats, the 2007-built Airbus A320-232 is powered by two IAE engines and joins the carrier’s ongoing effort to replace older Airbus A319 aircraft with higher-capacity A320s.

Jiří Marek, CEO of Air Serbia, said: “Introducing another Airbus A320 into service is part of Air Serbia’s continuous fleet renewal process. We are gradually replacing older A319 models with these aircraft, increasing the number of available seats and improving operational efficiency. Our goal is to develop the fleet in a long-term and planned manner, adapting its structure to market needs and the company’s future growth.”

Before entering service, the aircraft was repainted in Air Serbia’s livery in the Netherlands. Air Serbia’s fleet currently includes Airbus A330-200, A320-200 and A319-100 aircraft, alongside Embraer E195s and ATR 72-600 turboprops.
