Aircastle has closed a new $400 million unsecured term loan that will provide additional funding for aircraft acquisitions as the lessor expands its portfolio.
The five-year facility includes a $240 million loan from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and an additional $160 million provided by a banking syndicate.
MUFG Bank and Mizuho Bank acted as syndicate arrangers for the $160 million portion, with seven additional lenders participating in the financing.
Aircastle said the facility broadens its access to bank financing and will be used to acquire commercial aircraft. The lessor cited its ownership by Marubeni Corporation and Mizuho Leasing as supporting its access to diversified sources of capital.
