SEATTLE — Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK) today reported October and year-to-date operational results on a consolidated basis, and for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Detailed information is provided below.
AIR GROUP
On a combined basis, Air Group reported a 10.0 percent increase in traffic on a 10.9 percent increase in capacity compared to October 2013. Load factor decreased 0.7 points to 83.0 percent. These statistics include flights operated by Alaska and those under capacity purchase agreements, including Horizon, SkyWest and PenAir.
ALASKA AIRLINES – MAINLINE
Alaska reported a 9.4 percent increase in traffic on a 10.3 percent increase in capacity compared to October 2013. Load factor decreased 0.8 points to 83.4 percent. Alaska also reported 87.1 percent of its flights arrived on-time in October, compared to 89.6 percent reported in October 2013.
HORIZON AIR
Horizon reported a 5.1 percent increase in October traffic on a 5.8 percent increase in capacity compared to October 2013. Load factor decreased 0.5 points to 78.6 percent. Horizon also reported 89.6 percent of its flights arrived on-time in October, compared to the 89.3 percent reported in October 2013.
