Alliance Aviation Services has appointed aviation industry veteran Steven Greenway as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Stewart Tully, who will step down after more than 11 years with the company.
Greenway will take over on October 1, 2026, while Tully will remain with Alliance until October 29 to support the leadership transition. The change comes as Alliance enters its next phase following a revised wet lease agreement with Qantas and organizational changes announced earlier in August.
Greenway brings more than 25 years of international aviation experience and most recently served as CEO of Saudia Group low-cost carrier flyadeal. His previous roles include Executive Vice President at WestJet and President of Swoop, Chief Commercial Officer at Scoot, CEO of reward-U and Partner at Mango Aviation Partners.
Alliance said Greenway will lead the company as it sharpens its focus on its position as a specialist FIFO aviation provider. The company operates more than 70 aircraft across ACMI, contract and charter services, including wet lease operations for Qantas and Virgin Australia.
Tully led Alliance through a period of expansion and diversification, including investments in its fleet and engineering capabilities and the development of long-term customer relationships.
Greenway will receive fixed annual remuneration of A$750,000, with a short-term incentive of up to 100% of fixed remuneration for exceptional performance. His long-term incentive package includes three million options.
