ALTA Member Airlines Passenger Traffic Increases 6.8% in January

Miami, March 17, 2014 – The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) announced that its member airlines carried 15.1 million passengers in January, up 6.8% from the previous year.

Traffic (RPK) grew 5.6% and capacity (ASK) increased 3.5%, bringing up the load factor to 80.6%, 1.7 percentage points higher than in January 2013.

Freight ton kilometers increased 5.7% in January reaching 407,465 FTKs.
