American Airlines Group Reports June 2014 Traffic Results

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) today reported June 2014 and year-to-date traffic results.

American Airlines Group’s total revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 19.9 billion, up 1.0 percent versus June 2013. Total capacity was 23.4 billion available seat miles (ASMs), up 3.2 percent versus June 2013. Total passenger load factor was 85.0 percent for the month of June, down 1.9 points versus June 2013.

The Company expects its second quarter 2014 consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) to be up approximately 5.5 percent to 6.5 percent versus the same period last year. In addition, the Company expects its second quarter pre-tax margin (excluding special items) to be approximately 12 percent to 13 percent.
