MIAMI, LONDON, DUBLIN, SINGAPORE, July 24 2013 – Apollo Aviation Group (“Apollo Aviation”), an international full service aviation asset manager, announced today that it has promoted Marcus Miller from Contracts Manager to Business Manager, responsible for the general management of Apollo Aviation’s Dublin office, headquarters for the firm’s origination activities.
Mr. Miller’s role involves overseeing the firm’s financial analysis, credit analysis, consignment analysis and tax teams, all of which report to him.
Mr. William Hoffman, Apollo Aviation’s Chairman said, “We’re delighted Marcus has taken up this newly created position in our Dublin office. Most of our transactions involve our Irish subsidiary, which has grown headcount by 70% over the course of the last 12 months. With Apollo Aviation’s assets under management (AUM) having grown at 74% per annum to approximately US$1.4 billion, we expect that our Dublin office will be adding more staff to handle the increased origination activity. ”
Mr. Miller originally joined Apollo Aviation in 2008 where he first served as Finance Manager holding responsibilities for the financial reporting of the offshore Apollo entities. He then moved into the position of Contracts Manager where he was responsible for the management of all offshore transactions. Prior to joining Apollo Aviation, having graduated from University College Dublin with an Honours Degree, Mr. Miller qualified as a Chartered Accountant in KPMG and subsequently completed a Masters in Management at the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
