Ascend, a Flightglobal Advisory Service, expands Consultancy and Appraisal team

Ascend, a Flightglobal advisory service, expands its award-winning Consultancy and Appraisal team today in response to increased market demand from its global client base.

The moves see George Dimitroff promoted to the position of Head of Valuations and Chris Wills appointed as Valuations Manager. In addition, Thomas Kaplan has been recruited to join our Hong Kong office, while Oliver Biddulph joins the London team. Furthermore, Daniel Hall, who will be relocating to the New York office, has recently received American Society of Appraisers (ASA) Business Aircraft Accreditation and will be looking to further boost Ascend’s thorough coverage of this sector.

Ascend’s strengthened consultancy team now consists of 19 appraisers and analysts based at its London, New York and Hong Kong offices, with further expansion planned in London.

“Returning liquidity in the aviation finance market is driving a significant increase in demand for appraisers and associated services.” said Dimitroff. “Ascend’s leading reputation, evidenced by our third appraiser of the year award, in the last four years, means we are usually the first port of call for anyone who wants an impartial value opinion.” he added.

“Besides our comprehensive historical values data and market-leading online valuation tool, the real strength of Ascend has always been in its people, so it is great to be continuing to build the team and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the market.” Dimitroff also remarked.

Parallel to these changes, and in response to an increase in demand for its bespoke advisory solutions, Rob Morris has been appointed as Head of Consultancy at Ascend. Rob will manage the global consultancy business and will be charged with ensuring that it utilises the full breadth and depth of Ascend’s data in support of its growing client base.

Morris commented: “Ascend is in a unique market position because of the volume and depth of data that we have available to us – the recent acquisition of Innovata schedule data offers us increased opportunity to service our clients and answer ever more strategic challenges – I’m really looking forward to utilising all of this in support of our clients.”
