AVIANCA HOLDINGS REPORTS 2013 TRAFFIC STATISTICS FOR ITS AIRLINES

In 2013, Avianca Holdings S.A. recorded through its operating subsidiaries a 6.6% increase in passengers carried, compared to 2012.

In December 2013, the airlines affiliated with the Holding transported more than 2.1 million passengers.

In 2013, Avianca Holdings S.A. (NYSE: AVH) (BVC: PFAVH) (*) affiliated airlines carried 24,625,062 passengers, a 6.6% increase over the same period in 2012. Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 6.1% while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (passenger revenue per kilometer flown), increased 7.3%, as a result the load factor for the year increased from 79.6% in 2012 to 80.5% in 2013.

In December, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings transported 2,159,221 passengers, up 4.8% compared to December 2012. Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 2.9% while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (passenger revenue per kilometer flown), increased 5.4%. The load factor for the month was 81.3%.

Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
From January through December 2013, the number of passengers carried by the affiliated companies of Avianca Holdings within the domestic markets of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador was 14,292,302 up 7.8% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) in these markets increased 13.6%, while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 10.1%, as a result the load factor was 77.6%.

In December, the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within these markets a total of 1,226,736 travelers, up 7.4% compared to December 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 7.3%, while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 9.0%, as a result the load factor was 78.9%.

International markets
From January through December 2013, the number of passengers carried on international routes was 10,332,760, up 5.0% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) grew 4.2 % while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 6.6%, as a result the load factor increased to 81.2%.

In December, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 932,485 passengers on international routes, up 1.6% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 1.9% while passenger traffic (RPK) grew 4.5%, as a result the load factor climbed to 81.8%.
