Between January and April, Avianca Holdings S.A carried 7,903,935 passengers, a 9.1% increase compared to January-April 2012.
In April, Avianca Holdings and subsidiaries transported 1,911,050 passengers, up 9.5% compared to April 2012. Capacity, measured in ASK’s (available seat kilometers), increased 6.8% while passenger traffic, measured in RPK´s (passenger revenue per kilometer flown) increased by 6.4%. The load factor for the month was 76.5%.
Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
From January through April 2013, the number of passengers transported in the domestic markets of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador was 4,571,305, up 11.0% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) in these markets increased 16.9% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 13.6%. As a result the load factor was 76.7%.
In April, the airlines affiliated with the Holding transported a total of 1,123,486 travelers, up 11.9% compared to April 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 20.7%, while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 14.4%. As a result the load factor was 73.0%.
International markets
From January through April 2013, the number of passengers carried on international routes was 3,332,630, up 6.5% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) grew 3.1% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 6.0%. As a result the load factor increased to 80.6%.
In April, Avianca Holdings S.A and subsidiaries transported 787,564 passengers on international routes, up 6.2% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 3.5% while passenger traffic (RPK) grew 4.5%. The load factor climbed to 77.4%.
