In the first five months of 2013, Avianca Holdings S.A. and its subsidiaries recorded a 9.5% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period in 2012.

Between January and May, the airlines affiliated with Avianca Holdings S.A. carried 9,903,363 passengers, a 9.5% increase compared to January-May 2012.
In May, Avianca Holdings and its subsidiaries transported 1,999,428 passengers, up 11.2% compared to May 2012. Capacity, measured in ASK’s (available seat kilometers), increased 10.7% while passenger traffic, measured in RPK´s (passenger revenue per kilometer flown), increased 12.0%. The load factor for the month was 77.4%.
Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
From January through May 2013, the number of passengers transported in the domestic markets of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador was 5,753,005, up 11.4% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) in these markets increased 17.3% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 14.0%. As a result the load factor was 76.4%.
In May, the airlines affiliated with the Holding transported a total of 1,181,700 travelers, up 12.9% compared to May 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 18.9%, while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 15.2%. As a result the load factor was 75.3%.
International markets
From January through May 2013, the number of passengers carried on international routes was 4,150,358, up 7.0% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) grew 4.2% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 7.0%. As a result the load factor increased to 80.0%.
In May, Avianca Holdings S.A. and its subsidiaries transported 817,728 passengers on international routes, up 8.8% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 8.7% while passenger traffic (RPK) grew 11.3%. The load factor climbed to 78.0%.
