AWAS acquires one 737-800 passenger aircraft from another lessor

Dublin-based global aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced today that it has acquired a late model Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft from another lessor, subject to a long- term lease to Virgin Australia.

Carter White, Head of Trading, AWAS commented, “This acquisition of this highly attractive asset is part of AWAS’ strategy to grow our fleet as strong investment opportunities present themselves in the marketplace.”
