AWAS appoints Carter White to new expanded, integrated role as Managing Director Sales for EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Head of Aircraft Trading

AWAS announced today that it has appointed its tenured Head of Aircraft Trading, Carter White, to a new, integrated role: Managing Director EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Sales and Head of Aircraft Trading.

His experience at AWAS combined with his deep industry knowledge, established relationships with customer airlines, OEMs and key industry stakeholders make him the ideal person for this new integrated role. Carter’s insight into both functions will allow AWAS to better act upon market opportunities and to more pro-actively address customer’s increasingly diverse and integrated fleet requirements.”

Carter White has almost 20 years experience in the aviation industry. Since joining AWAS in 2004, Carter has successfully implemented and directed AWAS’ trading strategy for aircraft sales and acquisitions enabling AWAS to maintain and grow its diversified portfolio of high-yielding commercial aircraft investments through long- standing relationships with lessors, trading entities, financial institutions and directly from the manufacturers.

Prior to AWAS, Carter held the position of Senior Vice President Marketing for Transamerica Finance Corporation’s commercial aviation finance group where he developed and implemented TFCs aircraft operating lease business in the USA, Europe, Canada, Asia/Australasia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Carter began his career in commercial aviation finance with Sanwa Bank’s leasing company, SBCC, in their principal aircraft finance group. Promoted from Senior Underwriter to Director Syndications, he developed and managed SBCCs syndication programs for its commercial aircraft lease and loan portfolios.

Carter graduated from Cornell College in 1991 with degrees in Business Administration and Economics.
