AWAS appoints Richard Sinclair Vice President Sales for Asia Pacific region

Dublin-based global aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced today that Richard Sinclair has been appointed Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Sinclair will report to Jon O’Connell Managing Director Asia Pacific Sales, and will be based in AWAS’ Singapore office.

Richard joins AWAS from Capital Lease Aviation Plc, a commercial aircraft leasing company where he was most recently its Chief Executive Officer responsible for overall strategic direction, as well as managing aircraft transactions from inception though customer delivery.

Prior to this position, Mr. Sinclair was Finance Director of Aviation Plc where in addition to having responsibility for the finance function, he played an active role in securing aircraft purchases and in negotiating lease transactions. Mr Sinclair has worked in large listed public companies such as Allco (Singapore) Ltd, a public company involved in real estate, aircraft and other capital assets, and Westfield Ltd, a public company which develops, operates and manages global retail property.

Richard has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide and is a member of the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia.
