AWAS announced today that it has appointed Antonio Lopes as Head of Technical & Asset Management (TAM) for the global aircraft lessor. Antonio is an AWAS veteran, having led the Project Management & Engineering Team within TAM for the past 12 years.

Antonio has over 28 years of experience, covering all aspects of aircraft maintenance and engineering within the airline and aircraft leasing industry.
Antonio began his career at Viação Aérea São Paulo (VASP) as a Reliability Supervisor responsible for continous airworthiness system management.
In 1993 he moved to AWAS’ previous entity, Ansett Worldwide as a Customer Support Manager with responsibility for the fleet’s technical requirements, including surveillance and maintenance data collection, returns and repossessions, and aircraft deliveries.
Antonio holds a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica in Brazil, as well as a MBA in from Fundacao Getulio Vargas.
