Blue1 appoints new Managing Director and COO

Mikael Wångdahl has been appointed new COO for Blue1 and starts on 1 Feb 2014. Mikael has a long and solid experience in the airline industry and most recently held the position of COO of Estonian Air AS.

In recent years, Blue1 has undergone major changes and is now a dedicated production company in the SAS Group, delivering traffic into the SAS network. Blue1 has now a positive development and it will be Mikael Wångdahl’s job to manage and further develop the work already started.

Mikael Wångdahl is replacing Janne Hattula who leaves Blue1 on 1 Feb 2014. He will be moving to Finavia Corporation (the Finnish airport operator) and from 1 Feb 2014 taking over the CEO role at Finavia’s subsidiary company – Airpro Group.
