Braathens Aviation continues to rely on flight planning solutions from Lufthansa Systems
Swedish airline group Braathens Aviation has renewed its contract with Lufthansa Systems for another five years and will continue to deploy the NetLine/Sched, NetLine/Ops++ and NetLine/Crew planning software to optimize its flight operations.
Braathens Aviation is based at Bromma Airport, Stockholm. The group’s airlines, Malmö Aviation and Braathens Regional, mainly operate Swedish domestic and regional flights. The company is also active in the charter and leasing businesses as well as in maintenance and training.
Braathens Aviation uses NetLine/Sched to optimize the operational and commercial aspects of its flight planning and provides its schedulers with valuable decision-making support. The software compares all the possible scheduling options and carries out what-if analyses.
Whenever unforeseen, last-minute deviations from the regular flight schedule occur, whether due to bad weather, technical problems or delays, NetLine/Ops++ helps keep their impact on flight operations to an absolute minimum.
Netline/Crew supports the entire crew management process, from rotation planning to debriefing activities for individual flights. The solution provides schedulers with valuable support for the decision-making process and facilitates the preparation of cost-effective duty rosters that also take into account crew preferences.
Braathens Aviation and Lufthansa Systems have enjoyed a successful partnership since 2008.
