Carpatair launches direct flights from Constanta to Istanbul, starting June 15

Timisoara, May 11, 2011: Carpatair, the full-service airline with its hub based in Timisoara, expands its operations on the Turkey market by launching the direct flight between Constanta and Istanbul (Atatürk), starting June 15, 2011. Carpatair becomes the first airline which connects the two cities.

Newly introduced flights Constanta – Istanbul (Atatürk) will be operated starting June 15, three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, according to the following schedule:

Constanta – Istanbul (Atatürk)           
17:05 – 18:00 (on Wednesdays)
16:30 – 17:30 (on Fridays and Sundays)
                                                                       
Istanbul (Atatürk) – Constanta
18:50 – 19:50 (on Wednesdays)
18:15 – 19:15 (on Fridays and Sundays)

After Romania, Italy, Germany, Greece, Ukraine, Moldavia and Hungary, Turkey becomes the eighth country where Carpatair is expanding its operations.

In 2010 the company introduced 6 new flights, expanding by 14 percent the total number of flights operated in 2010, and recorded a turnover of 74 million euro, representing 14% growth compared to 2009. The total number of regular flights operated by the company is over 360 flights /week to 26 destinations in 7 countries
