CDB Aviation Delivers First of Four 737-8s to Norwegian

CDB Aviation has delivered the first of four Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Norwegian under lease agreements signed between the companies in December 2024.

The delivery marks the first aircraft placed with Norwegian by the Irish lessor and begins fulfillment of the four-aircraft transaction.

Norwegian is adding the aircraft as part of its ongoing fleet renewal program, increasing the proportion of new-generation 737-8s in its narrowbody fleet while providing additional capacity and operating flexibility.

The remaining three aircraft covered by the agreement will further support Norwegian’s transition toward a more fuel-efficient fleet as they are delivered.

CDB Aviation is a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing and provides aircraft leasing services to airlines globally.
