Change on Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines

The Annual General Meeting today decided to make a change on the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines AG:

From 28 June 2013, Harry Hohmeister will take over Chairmanship of the Supervisory Board. From July onwards, Hohmeister will be responsible for Group Airlines and Logistics on the Executive Board of the Lufthansa Group, as well as being the CEO of Swiss International Air Lines.

He has been represented on the Austrian Supervisory Board since 2009.

Stefan H. Lauer is leaving the Lufthansa Group, and withdrew his mandate on the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines AG today as a result. Wolfgang Mayrhuber, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa AG and Nicolai Ingo von Ruckteschell will also no longer be represented on the Supervisory Board of Austrian.

Bettina Volkens has been newly voted onto the Supervisory Board. She will be responsible for Corporate Human Resources and Legal Affairs on the Executive Board of Lufthansa from 1 July 2013 onwards. Paul Schwaiger was also newly voted onto the Supervisory Board by the Annual General Meeting. A native of Austria, he is the CEO of SunExpress Deutschland, a subsidiary of SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines. Karl Ulrich Garnadt was also voted onto the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines AG as a new member. Garnadt is Chair of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG.

I would like to thank them for the work they have done, particularly Stefan Lauer and Wolfgang Mayrhuber,” the new Chair of the Supervisory Board, Harry Hohmeister, said in his first statement.
