China Airlines launches regular Taoyuan-Ishigaki flights

China Airlines has launched a regular Taoyuan-Ishigaki service, allowing passengers to travel from Taiwan to the Japanese island of Ishigaki in less than an hour. China Airlines will offer the service every Wednesday and Saturday with its ERJ190 aircraft, which seats 104 passengers in economy class.
Ishigaki is an island in Okinawa Prefecture located in the south of the Sea of Japan about 270 kilometers from Taiwan. It functions as the education, transport, and economic center of the Yaeyama Islands. With a warm climate similar to that of Taiwan, Ishigaki is a popular holiday destination all year round. It is most famous for Ishigaki beef, one of Japan’s finest meats along with Matsusaka and Kobe beef. Every year, visitors flock to the Kuroshima Cow Festival, a major festival that attracts tourists from Japan and abroad for its bovine-themed celebrations.
In partnership with Ishigaki’s leading resorts, China Airlines Group offers visitors a wide range of recreational activities, including spa treatments, golf, beach volleyball, football, squash, snorkeling, water aerobics, cardio and weight training, and guided hikes. For longer stays, visitors can take local boats to the islands of Kohama, Taketomi, and Iriomote for an island-hopping adventure. Taketomi Island’s Kondoi Beach is especially breathtaking for its white sands, turquoise waters, and serene beauty.
Dynasty Package is offering Ishigaki packages with roundtrip economy class flights and three nights accommodation at a three-star hotel including breakfast, starting at NT$13,140 per person (excluding tax). Dynasty Package travelers also receive special rates on car rentals, glass-bottom boat tours in Kabira Bay, (awarded three stars by the Michelin Green Guide Japan) and tours of Taketomi Island by water buffalo cart or bicycle.
