CIT AEROSPACE SIGNS AGREEMENTS TO LEASE 36 AIRCRAFT AND DELIVERS 18 AIRCRAFT IN THE SECOND QUARTER 2011

NEW YORK – July 27, 2011 – CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT), today announced that in the second quarter of 2011, CIT Aerospace, a global leader in transportation finance, delivered 18 new and used aircraft to its airline customers around the world. The Company also signed agreements for the current and future lease of a total of 36 commercial aircraft.

CIT Aerospace serves approximately 115 customers in 55 countries. CIT owns or finances a fleet of approximately 300 commercial aircraft.
