Copa Airlines and TAME Ecuador sign code share agreement

Panama — Copa Airlines and Tame Ecuador have signed a codeshare agreement that strengthens the alliance and cooperation between the two airlines and significantly increases flight and scheduling options for passengers traveling between Ecuador and Panama.

“Copa Airlines is pleased to enter into this codeshare relationship with Tame Ecuador,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO, Copa Airlines. “Tame is an important partner and our increased flights and travel options between Panama and Ecuador not only will benefit our passengers, but also the economies of our two countries.”

In its initial stages, the codeshare agreement will include flights between Quito and Panama, and between Guayaquil and Panama. The airlines later will extend the cooperative agreement to include flights to the interior of Ecuador, as well as to the entire Latin American region.
“This important alliance and cooperation with Copa Airlines strengthens Tame Ecuador’s flights to Panama and broadens our presence in the region,” said Gustavo Cuesta, General Manager, Tame Ecuador.
