Corsair Renews Two Component Support Contracts With AFI KLM E&M

Paris Le Bourget, Amstelveen, 17 June 2013 – Corsair has decided to renew the component support contract covering three of its 747s and four of its A330s. The extension includes component maintenance and repair as well as pool access, on a per flight hour basis. Rob Pruim, AFI KLM E&M VP Sales International, said: “We go back a long way with Corsair, and have close ties based on exacting standards. This renewal of the airline’s trust is very important to us.”

Win-win relationship
The original 747 component support contract was signed back in April 1996 and the first contract for A330 component support was inked in December 2002. Originally the latter covered two A330-200s, but was soon expanded to cover two A330-300s subsequently purchased by Corsair. “We are used to working on these aircraft, which are operated by both Air France and KLM,” explained Rob Pruim. “It is an added strength for our customers in terms of quality, lead-times, and competitiveness.” Jean-Luc Moine, Corsair Technical Director, commented: “We have been highly satisfied with the services provided by AFI KLM E&M in terms of quality, punctuality, and adaptability ever since the signing of the initial contract. So it was natural that we should renew these agreements. We also took advantage of the renewal to renegotiate some aspects and widen the scope of the contract. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved.”
