Croatia Airlines flies with Lido/RouteManual from Lufthansa Systems

Croatia Airlines has opted for the navigation charts from Lufthansa Systems. Both companies recently signed an eight-year contract to this effect. After the implementation of the paper-based Lido/RouteManual, the airline will be ready to switch to the electronic version Lido/eRouteManual by the end of 2011.

Lido/RouteManual and Lido/eRouteManual contain take-off and landing procedures, airport and en-route charts. These charts are generated directly from the Lido navigation database, which includes worldwide aeronautical information and topographical data. The layout, colors and symbols are identical in the paper-based and the electronic version, which will make it easier for pilots to switch to Lido/eRouteManual. One benefit of Lido/eRouteManual is that its charts can be updated more quickly and easily than paper charts, since updated charts no longer need to be printed out and distributed to each cockpit. In addition, cockpit crews can determine the level of detail presented by the charts.

Croatia Airlines is the national carrier of Croatia and a long-standing Lufthansa Systems customer. The Zagreb-based airline has deployed several IT solutions from Lufthansa Systems, including Lido/Flight for flight planning, SchedConnect for codeshare management, the complete NetLine suite of applications, among others. Croatia Airlines connects Croatia with 30 destinations in Europe with its fleet of 13 aircraft.
