CTS Engines Announces Senior Management Hires

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—CTS Engines, a leading independent engine MRO, announced the hiring of James E. McMillen as non-executive Chairman of the Board and Vesa Paukkeri as Executive Vice President.

Mr. McMillen, an engine industry veteran, has served in numerous leadership capacities, most recently as the non-executive chairman of TES Aviation Group from 2004 to 2007, and as president of Aerothrust, Inc. from 1981 to 2001. Mr. McMillen has an Aeronautical Engineering Degree from Penn State and a Master’s Degree in Flight Transportation Management from M.I.T. In his role as Chairman, Mr. McMillen will be responsible for advising the company on strategic direction and growth in governmental programs.

Mr. Paukkeri, well known and respected in the engine MRO industry for operations management, worked in various management positions at Finnair Engine Services, Ltd. and Finnair Technical Services, Ltd. from 2003 to 2012, most recently serving as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Mr. Paukkeri will be the primary operational manager within the company responsible for MRO production and quality, and will spearhead the company’ lean initiatives. Mr. Paukkeri holds a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology.
