Direct Maintenance: Warm welcome to Atlas Air in Nairobi, Kenya

Renowned US carrier Atlas Air commenced deploying B747-400F capacity on south and north bound routes in Africa, from its base in Ostend, Belgium. Direct Maintenance is proud to have been appointed by Atlas Air under a multiple year agreement to provide tailor made line maintenance support during the ground stops in Nairobi. In order to facilitate Certification of Release to Service to US registered aircraft in Nairobi, Direct Maintenance is extending its FAA Repair Station approval geographically.

Roger Meels, Technical Director, comments: "Atlas Air is the largest B747 ACMI operator in our industry. We are really pleased to learn Direct Maintenance is able to meet the Atlas Air requirements in full to support this important and dynamic operation. With our FAA Repair Station approval being geographically extended, we welcome any enquiries from US carriers intending to operate into Kenya in the future.

Direct Maintenance is the largest independent line maintenance provider in Kenya and the only line maintenance service provider operating 2 fully equipped EASA Part-145 compliant line stations, both in Nairobi (NBO) and Mombasa (MBA).
