Discovery Air Technical Services Inc. announces new orders for the maintenance of 22 aircraft from a US Regional Airline customer and the opening of its Toronto office

QUEBEC CITY, May 24, 2011 /CNW/ – Discovery Air Technical Services Inc. (DATS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., is pleased to announce that it has received new orders for heavy maintenance of 22 ERJ 135/145 regional jets. DATS is also pleased to announce the opening of its Toronto office in Mississauga near the Lester B. Pearson International Airport.

It is also our initial step in the set-up of a Design Approval Organization, which will enhance DATS’ ability to provide the best products to its customer base in addition to providing services to OEMs and other operators.”

In addition to the ERJ 135/145, Discovery Air Technical Services holds Transport Canada approvals for the DASH-8, Boeing 737, CRJ 100/200 and SAAB 340 aircraft, and will soon add additional aircraft types to its catalog of capabilities. DATS’ Quebec City maintenance facility provides a wide range of capabilities including welding, avionics, engineering, machining, heat treatment, composite and sheet metal repairs.
