Dr. Peters Group invests in another Airbus A380-800

This makes the fifteenth time that Dr. Peters Group has invested in an aircraft asset. The Airbus A380-800 was already taken over by Air France in June 2014. The transfer is scheduled to take place in November 2014. A long-term lease agreement was concluded with Air France. The return will occur following expiry of the lease agreement in “full-life condition.”

With this, the Dr. Peters Group is investing for the 9th time in what is currently the largest-capacity aircraft, an Airbus A380-800, equipped with highly advanced technologies.

“We are very proud that we have been able to fortify our trusting partnership with Air France and, with the fifth Airbus A380, have been able to provide half of the A380 fleet for one of Europe’s biggest airlines,” said Anselm Gehling, CEO of the Dr. Peters Group, regarding the current investment. At Air France the A380-800 features a spacious 4-class configuration with 516 seats. With a current fleet of 573 aircraft, Air France-KLM Group serves 243 destinations in a total of 103 countries worldwide. “With a new Airbus A380-800, and with Dr. Peters Asset Finance GmbH & Co. KG Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft as the provider as well as company’s agent, the Dr. Peters Group is entering the new world of real-value assets, which poses even greater regulatory demands,” added Dr. Albert Tillmann, Managing Director of Dr. Peters KVG, with a positive view to the future.
About 35,000 investors are already participating in Dr. Peters aircraft funds, through which 16 aircraft from Boeing B787-8 “Dreamliners” to Airbus A380-800s have been financed to date. All Dr. Peters aircraft funds have paid out at least as forecast in the prospectus; the four predecessor funds with Air France are also proceding according to plan.

The Dr. Peters Group is one of the oldest issuers of investment funds in the market. For more than 35 years, the company has been devising, placing and managing closed-end funds in the aircraft, ship and real estate sectors. The portfolio now includes 142 funds with a cumulative investment volume of almost EUR 7 billion and cumulative equity capital of around EUR 3.4 billion.
