São José dos Campos, June 29, 2011 – Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS), a subsidiary of Embraer and the company’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Nashville, Tenn., renewed its Heavy Maintenance agreement with Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia’s fleet of EMBRAER 190 aircraft.
This new agreement validates EAMS work in heavy inspections on the airline’s fleet and further extends the partnership between the companies, which began in 2008.
“With this extension agreement of heavy inspections on the airline’s fleet, EAMS is thrilled to continue to strengthen our long-standing relationship with Copa and Copa Airlines Colombia,” said John Linn, VP, Customer Support and Services, Airline Market. “EAMS has been performing heavy maintenance on Copa’s E190 aircraft in Nashville for the last three years and is extremely proud that Copa has once again placed its confidence in us, the global leader in E-Jets maintenance, which specializes in dedicated and efficient service, high quality, and fast, committed aircraft delivery.”
“Copa is very pleased that EAMS is continuing to work with us to provide heavy maintenance for our E-Jets,” said Ahmad Zamany, Vice President of Technical Operations, Copa Airlines. “Copa always seeks the highest quality and most efficient and cost-effective methods of servicing of our fleet. EAMS’ commitment to on-time delivery and flexibility to meet our requirements was a strong factor in our selection process.”
