Embraer Delivers 29 Commercial and 29 Executive Jets in 2Q14

São José dos Campos, Brazil, July 14, 2014 – During the second quarter of 2014 (1Q14), Embraer (NYSE: ERJ; BM&FBOVESPA: EMBR3) delivered 29 jets to the commercial aviation market and 29 to the business aviation market, for a total of 58 aircraft, compared to 51 aircraft delivered in the same period of 2013. On June 30, 2014, the firm order backlog totaled USD 18.1 billion.

The quarter’s highlights include the first deliveries of the E175 with aerodynamic improvements to Republic Airways, SkyWest and United Airlines, all from the United States. Thanks to systems optimization, aerodynamic refinements, and the introduction of a new wingtip, the new model reduced fuel consumption by 6.4% compared to the original model, reaching significantly lower operating costs.
