Estonian Air’s Supervisory Council nominated a new Management Board member

The Supervisory Council of Estonian Air has nominated Indrek Randveer, who has a long-term sales and management experience, to take the position of CCO and Management Board member of Estonian Air as from 19 may 2014. Estonian Air’s Management Board has three members including Jan Palmèr, the CEO, Wade Stokes, the CFO and Indrek Randveer, the CCO.

According to Jaan Tamm, the Chairman of the Supervisory Council of Estonian Air, the previous long-term experience and achievements in sales and customer relationship management will benefit in ensuring the sustainable development of Estonian Air.

Jan Palmér, the CEO of Estonian Air: “I am very happy that the position is taken by a local senior specialist who has long-term experience in business and entrepreneurship. Indrek will be responsible for strategy development in marketing, sales and customer relations. In addition, he will work in tight cooperation with travel agencies, develop regular customer relations and improve ancillary service to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

„A big and serious challenge was the reason to join Estonian Air team,“ said Randveer. „Estonia and Estonian people need their own Tallinn based airline. I will do my best to turn Estonian Air into profitable airline already in the nearest future, and ensure customers will reach their desired destination conveniently, on time, safely and in suitable time. As a regional airline we should offer Estonians important destinations and be able to offer the shortest time to connecting flights.“

„On the other hand we have a lot of work to do together with state owned companies, business and professional organisations to make Estonia an attractive tourist and business destination, so that people from abroad will find a reason to come to Estonia,“ added Randveer.

Indrek Randveer’s recent positions before joining Estonian Air were Executive Vice President and Customer Care and Sales Director of EMT (2000-May 2014), Sales Director at Alexela Oil (1996-2000) and Chief Specialist in electronic banking and Manager of the bank branches in Hansabank (1993-1996).

Indrek Randveer has Master’s Degree (MBA) in business administration. In addition, he has refreshed his education at management programme in Swedish Institute in Sweden and several trainings in Estonia and abroad.

Estonian Air is aiming to provide Estonia with reliable and regular double daily connections to destinations of strategic importance and of substantial demand.

Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier, is the biggest operator at Tallinn Airport. The airline flies regular routes to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, Munich, St Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim. In addition, from May to September, Estonian Air will fly to Nice and Split, and from June to August to Paris and Berlin. The Company employs approximately 170 people.
