First A320-200 Aircraft of 51 Aircraft Order Delivered to Air Lease Corporation - Financed by KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH

Air Lease Corporation has mandated KfW IPEX-Bank as Arranger and sole Lender for a 6 year commercial debt financing of one new Airbus A320-200 aircraft operated by Air New Zealand. The transaction closed at the end of January 2011.  The aircraft is part of an Air Lease Corporation order for 51 A320 family aircraft placed at the Farnborough International Air Show in 2010.  “KfW IPEX-Bank is very pleased to be the financier of this land-mark delivery to Air Lease Corporation” commented Michael Nosbüsch, Global Head of Aviation and Rail at KfW IPEX-Bank.  The aircraft, which will be operated by Air New Zealand in its domestic route network, features a special livery as part of its “Crazy About Rugby” campaign, using the colors of New Zealand’s rugby team, the All Blacks.
