NEW YORK—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Fitch Ratings has published an updated criteria report for rating Aircraft Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates. The criteria report, ‘Rating Aircraft Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates’ is available on Fitch’s web site at www.fitchratings.com.
The revised criteria enhances Fitch’s methodology for rating subordinated EETC tranches, adds detail to the determination of the Affirmation Factor, and updates some aircraft value stresses. The report also provides additional detail regarding Fitch’s rating methodology for EETCs when the underlying airline is in bankruptcy, adds more discussion of cross-default provisions, and elaborates on Fitch’s evaluation of EETCs issued outside of the United States.
Fitch expects most existing EETC ratings to be unaffected by the criteria revision, although some subordinated tranche ratings, mainly C tranches, could be changed, most likely by one notch Any ratings changes will be published within the next several working days.
