Business Class flights to Gran Canaria also available / 12 tourist destinations served from Munich this winter
Lufthansa passengers who want to escape the cold this winter in search of warmer climes now have another destination to choose from. The new service between Munich and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands will be launched this Sunday, right at the start of the autumn holidays in Bavaria. The airport at Las Palmas, the largest city in the Canaries, will be served by an Airbus A321 with 200 seats in a two-class configuration, which means that Lufthansa customers can also opt to fly Business Class to Gran Canaria. “We are delighted to be able to offer Lufthansa customers another attractive holiday destination. With this new service to Gran Canaria, we will now be offering flights to a total of twelve tourist destinations during the winter season,” says Thomas Klühr, member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board, Finance & Hub Munich.
Split and Valencia are two further additions to the winter schedule, and will be served all year round. This winter, for the first time, Lufthansa will also operate flights to Dublin from Munich.
From 26 October 2014 to 12 April 2015, flights to Gran Canaria will depart once a week, on Sundays. Lufthansa’s southern hub at Munich has excellent connections to cities across Germany. On certain dates, especially at the beginning and the end of the holiday period, an additional flight will be operated.
More information is available on the Lufthansa website at www.LH.com. Flights can be booked online or via a Lufthansa Call Center on +49 69 86 799 799 (German landline rates apply). Customers can also make flight bookings through a Lufthansa travel agency partner or at the Lufthansa ticket counters at airports.
