Globus Entrusts Boeing 737 NG APUs To Epcor

Paris, Amstelveen, 25 September 2013 – EPCOR, AFI KLM E&M’s pneumatic systems and APU subsidiary, has signed a contract with Russian carrier Globus. The long-term agreement covers the repair and overhaul of the GTCP 131-9B type Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) equipping the carrier’s fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Globus had already called on the services of AFI KLM E&M in the framework of an engine support contract for this same fleet.

Strong position on the Russian market
This latest contract is part of a long series of APU repair agreements signed with Russian airlines including Yakutia Airlines, Vladivostok Airlines and Gazpromavia. Fabrice Defrance, AFI KLM E&M Senior Vice President Commercial, said: “On the strength of this new contract, we are continuing to expand into the Russian market. We are thrilled to be working with an airline like Globus LLC.” Mr. Chernov Sergey, Technical Director, added: “Our 100 per cent satisfactory track record with AFI KLM E&M encouraged us to go to EPCOR, a leading MRO for APU repair and overhaul.”
