Gulf Air Begins Operations to Amman’s new Queen Alia International Airport Terminal

Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier announced that it has transferred all its departing and arriving flights to Amman in Jordan to the new terminal at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport effective from today Thursday March 21st 2013.

The new terminal which is located in the existing airport location, features all new facilities including check-in-desks, duty-free shops, food and beverage outlets and lounges, providing an enhanced and more seamless travel experience for Gulf Air’s customers travelling to and from the Jordanian capital.

Gulf Air has a strong presence in Jordan; the airline first started flying to the country in 1976 and today operates double daily flights between Bahrain to Amman and has a strong codeshare partnership with the country’s flag carrier Royal Jordanian. As one of the Middle East’s largest network carriers, Gulf Air is well positioned to connect Amman to several key destinations in the region with 14 weekly flights and excellent connectivity via Bahrain to key destinations such as Dubai, UAE, Bangkok, Thailand and Mumbai in India.
