Hamburg Airways optimizes finance processes with Sirax AirFinance Platform from Lufthansa Systems

Hamburg Airways will be using the Sirax AirFinance Platform from Lufthansa Systems for its revenue accounting. The Sirax AirFinance Platform is the first integrated platform to cover all aspects of airline finance, from revenue recognition to cost control.

Hamburg Airways currently operates a fleet of modern Airbus A320 aircraft. Lufthansa Systems configured and customized the selected Platform modules in order to meet the specific requirements of Hamburg Airways. The solution enables the airline to benefit from streamlined and accelerated finance processes, especially in connection with interlining. The integrated platform automates and accelerates the billing process.

Hamburg Airways commenced flight operations with the introduction of the 2011 summer schedule, initially using two Airbus A319 aircraft. In July 2011 and May 2012, a total of two medium-range Airbus A320 aircraft were added, followed by an Airbus A319 in June 2012. Based in Hamburg, the carrier operates conventional holiday flights for leading travel operators and offers ad hoc and subcharter services as well as ACMI services. Hamburg Airways has a wholly-owned subsidiary – Hamburg International Technik GmbH (HIT) – at Friedrichshafen airport. As an aviation maintenance organization certified in accordance with EASA Part 145, HIT provides maintenance services for aircraft and related services for airlines and aircraft operators.
