Hong Kong, 28 Jan 2015 HK Express, Hong Kong’s only low-fare airline, is pleased to announce its new route serving the chic epicentre of Cambodian tourism, Siem Reap.
Offering three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, HK Express will launch the Siem Reap route on October 1, 2015, with reservations being accepted from today (28 January).
In conjunction to the new route launch, HK Express announces the 10th aircraft – Coeng Fan (rice noodle roll). To add some sweet sauce to the launch, the airline’s Deputy CEO Andrew Cowen today manned a special Coeng Fan hawker cart and gave out lunchboxes of the delicious floppy rice noodle rolls to workers in Causeway Bay, while announcing the new route launch.
To celebrate Hong Kong’s first low-fare route to Siem Reap, and the 17th route for HK Express, from today until 9 February at 11.59pm, the airline is offering promotional fares to Siem Reap from as low as HK$180* one way, for the travel period from 1 October until 9 February, 2015.
The resort town of Siem Reap is a popular choice for Hong Kong travellers, not only as the gateway to the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage sites and ancient temple ruins at Angkor but also as a stylish short-break location in its own right with a charming city-centre full of unique boutiques, restaurants and undiscovered gems.
“The profound beauty of Siem Reap is one of the many must-see Southeast Asian experiences offered by our fast-growing network,” said Mr. Luke Lovegrove, Commercial Director for HK Express. “The Siem Reap route is a significant landmark in our quest to develop low-fare travel options throughout this up-and-coming region of the world.”
Coeng Fan (rice noodle roll) becomes the fifth HK Express Airbus A320 named after famous Hong Kong dim sum dishes, and will join Sui Maai (pork dumpling), Haa Gaau (shrimp dumpling), Ceon Gyun (spring roll) and Cha Siu Baau (roasted pork bun) in transporting Guests across its network.
