IACA Welcomes Germania Express as New Member

IACA (International Air Carrier Association) today announced that German carrier, Germania Express, has joined the association as a full member.

Germania Express (formerly Flynext) was founded in 2010. Based in Berlin, it currently wet-leases two Airbus A319 aircraft to Germania Fluggesellschaft mbH. It is also involved in the founding of a new airline, Gambia Bird Airlines Ltd, in Gambia.

Welcoming the airline to IACA, the association’s Director General, Sylviane Lust, said:

“We are extremely pleased that Germania Express has decided to join IACA. On behalf of IACA and its members, we would like to welcome Germania Express to the association. We are looking forward to working with the airline’s team in Berlin and assisting them during this important phase of the carrier’s development.”

“Germany is a key aviation market and today’s news further strengthens the scope of IACA in the country.”
