JetBlue to Launch Flights to Port-au-Prince

NEW YORK and FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) today announces that tickets are now on sale to its 82nd destination, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Beginning December 5, 2013, the airline will serve Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP) in the Haitian capital with one daily nonstop flight from New York’s JFK International Airport (JFK) and two daily nonstop flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), subject to receipt of government operating authority.

To celebrate the new flights, customers can now book sale fares from $159 one way between New York and Port-Au-Prince and from $134 between Fort Lauderdale and Port-Au-Prince today through June 15, 2013 at jetblue.com for travel between December 5 and December 18, 2013 and January 13 and February 12, 2014 (b).

In addition to JetBlue’s nonstop service to South Florida, Port-au-Prince customers will be able to conveniently connect onwards from Fort Lauderdale to other destinations in the United States including Boston, MA; New York, NY (JFK, LaGuardia and Westchester County); Newark, NJ; and Washington, DC (Reagan National). Customers traveling on JetBlue’s new nonstop service from Port-au-Prince to New York (JFK) will be able to connect to Buffalo, NY, Boston, MA, and Chicago, IL, among other destinations.

JetBlue’s flights from New York (JFK) to Port-au-Prince will be operated with its comfortable Airbus A320 fleet with seating for 150, and flights from Fort Lauderdale will be operated on its spacious 100-seat Embraer 190 fleet, both featuring its award-winning service and convenient, assigned seating; a first-checked bag free ©; complimentary and unlimited name brand snacks and drinks; comfy leather seats; and more legroom than any other carrier in coach (d).
