Jetstar Asia renewed on IOSA Registry
Jetstar Asia has announced it has successfully completed the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and has been renewed on the IOSA Registry. The airline has been on the registry since 2012.
Jetstar Asia CEO Barathan Pasupathi emphasised the airline’s continuing commitment to safety.
“Safety is our number one priority. We are pleased to share that Jetstar Asia’s IOSA registration has been renewed as we continue to conform with internationally-recognized standards and best practices for operational safety.”
To achieve IOSA registration, Jetstar Asia satisfied more than 900 standards in eight operational areas, including corporate organisation and management systems; flight operations, operational control, flight despatch, aircraft engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, ground handling, cargo operations and operational security.
“IOSA is a comprehensive assessment of the operational management and control systems at Jetstar Asia,” said Yang Ming-Hooi, Jetstar Asia’s Head of Safety.
IOSA is an internationally recognised and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline.
The IOSA Registry is a key element of IATA’s strategy to promote global airline operational safety.
To date, IATA has conducted over 1700 IOSA audits since the programme was launched in 2003, and there are currently 399airlines on the Registry.
