LATAM appoints new Commercial Director for Europe

Madrid: LATAM Airlines Group, the aviation group recently created by the merger of LAN Airlines S.A. and TAM S.A., has appointed Guillermo Orrillo as Commercial Director of the Group in Europe. After more than two years at the company, the Argentinean Guillermo Orrillo will now face the challenge of securing and consolidating the new airline group’s presence in Europe. With a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, Guillermo Orrillo began his career in the aviation industry in 2010, as Sales Director at LAN Argentina. After a successful experience in the subsidiary LAN Airlines, Orrillo will become Passenger Commercial Director for Europe at the recently created LATAM Airlines Group, which is the product of the merger of South America’s leading airlines: LAN Airlines and TAM. In addition to the recent appointments of Francisco Vidal as General Director of the LATAM Group in Europe and of Guillermo Orrillo as Commercial Director , another highlight in the company’s consolidation process is the new role of Pablo Ayala. Until now, Ayala has served as Commercial Director for LAN Airlines in Europe, but as of September his new position will be Corporate and Tourism Director of LATAM Airlines Group at its headquarters in Santiago, Chile.
