LOT Polish Airlines dismisses CEO Marcin Piróg

LOT Polish Airlines has announced that the Company’s Supervisory Board, at its meeting on December 13, 2012, dismissed Mr. Marcin Piróg, CEO from his post. At the same time, the Supervisory Board has decided to appoint Mr. Zbigniew Mazur, member of the Board responsible for Finance and Economics, as the acting CEO. Evaluation of the outgoing President’s work and the Company’s external and internal performance was the reason for the decision to change the Board composition. At the same time, the Supervisory Board has expressed its conviction that the Company restructuring plan, which is to be implemented without delay, will allow to gain profitability in a very short time and will bring stabilization to LOT Polish Airlines. Assistance granted to the Company by the State Treasury guarantees effective Company performance and thereby smooth operations for the benefit of passengers and clients.
