LOT signs agreement with Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited for service to Dreamliners

Warsaw, 26 July 2012 LOT Polish Airlines has signed an agreement, on the basis of which Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL) Company of Great Britain will service the Polish carrier ís Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
LOT Polish Airlines chose the independent company Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL), which has received many awards, as the main contractor for line service of the eight Boeing 787s the first of which is to be delivered in November this year.
In accordance with the conditions of the agreement, MAEL ís highly experienced engineers will establish a line service base in Warsaw, and will also provide technical support for aircraft operations to LOT in destination airports.
Furthermore, the British firm will work alongside AFI KLM E&M (Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance), which signed an agreement with LOT a few days earlier for the provision of replacement parts for the Boeing 787s.
“Dreamliners are highly technologically advanced ñ they are the worldís most cutting-edge aircraft. For that reason, they require highly qualified engineers, computer technicians and modern methods and tools for technical service. Monarch meets all of these requirements and ensures our Dreamliners will be cared for to the highest standard,” says Tomasz Balcerzak, Board Member for Operations and Maintenance at LOT Polish Airlines.

The contractís provisions also provide the possibility of the involvement of local service organisations including LOT AMS and CEES in the extraordinary undertaking that is posed by servicing these next-generation aircraft.
