Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) celebrates today the final test run after servicing the 1.000th turbofan engine of the General Electric (GE) CF34-series. Together with the manufacturer and the customer Lufthansa CityLine this anniversary is honoured with a commemorative event at the Alzey facility.
The first engine of the CF34-series of the American manufacturer was serviced by LTAA already in 1991. Since then the engine type has become a backbone in the service portfolio of the company specializing in maintenance, repair, and overhaul of regional aircraft and business jet engines within the worldwide Lufthansa Technik network. After the original equipment manufacturer, the Rhinehess company complements the GE network as one of the world’s leading suppliers of repair and overhaul services.
“The CF34 engine type developed itself as a backbone within Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey’s portfolio and our respective experience, gained with more than two decades, attracts various customers at all continents,” said Mark Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of LTAA. Martin Hach, Chief Operating Officer, adds that „likewise we appreciate the long term relationship with the manufacturer GE at all ranges. This is underlined with the permanent presence of a GE representative at the Alzey facilities."
