Maastricht Airlines postpones operation due to late delivery of aircraft
Maastricht, April 16, 2013 – Maastricht Airlines, The Netherlands’ newest airline, is forced to postpone its planned start of May 1 to a later date. This due to the late delivery of the Fokker 50 aircraft.
In March of this year there was already a problem with the delivery of the first aircraft. Now the supplier has informed Maastricht Airlines that both aircraft will not be available for the already modified date May 1.
“Obviously it’s a big disappointment for the 60 employees of Maastricht Airlines. Everyone was ready for the 1st of May commence of operations. We are doing everything possible to secure aircraft in order to start operations devices as soon as possible”, said Hamid Kerboua (CEO Maastricht Airlines)
The next days all booked passengers will be notified and all reservations will be handled accordingly.
