MNG Airlines flies with Lido/FMS navigation data from Lufthansa Systems

The Turkish cargo carrier MNG Airlines will use the navigation data from Lufthansa Systems for their Flight Management System (FMS). Both companies signed a five-year-contract to this effect.

The Lido/FMS database contains all important route information including altitude and airport data for optimizing routes on board modern aircraft. The navigation data, which are based on global aeronautical information, are updated every 28 days according the AIRAC cycle and can be customized to specific routes and for the use in any type of aircraft. Lufthansa Systems can thus meet the requirements and needs of airlines at all times.

MNG Airlines was founded in 1996 and is based in Istanbul. Today it is one of the leading cargo airlines in this region. Its growing fleet consists of seven Airbus A300B4-200F, two A300-600 and two Boeing 737-400 aircraft. MNG Airlines was awarded by Airbus for its reliable operations among 150 airlines for the three periods from 2003 to 2009. The carrier is a launch customer for the Airbus A330 Freighter of which it has two orders plus one option.
